2018 Public-Release Research Dataset Available
The 2018 NEMSIS Public-Release Research Dataset includes 22,532,890 EMS activations submitted by 9,599 EMS agencies serving 43 states and territories during the 2018 calendar year. The dataset does not contain information that identifies patients, EMS agencies, receiving hospitals, or reporting states. Click for more information on how to access the dataset.

Version 3.5.0 Revision
Careful consideration of posted requests for revisions to the NEMSIS 3.4.0 standard began in early October, during the NEMSIS V3 Implementation meeting, and continue through bimonthly V3 Implementation webinars and NASEMSO Data Managers Committee calls.

The mission of the NEMSIS TAC is to enable EMS systems nationwide to collect and make available for use all relevant data to ensure the best possible patient outcomes. As we strive to achieve this mission, we are mindful of the committed efforts of our NEMSIS stakeholders; we could not do this important work without your expertise and support. NEMSIS 3.5.0 Versioning Timeline
Discussions held during the 2018 NASEMSO Annual Meeting, among the EMS Data Managers Council, resulted in a revision to the draft timeline detailing a plan for future revisions to the NEMSIS standard. This timeline was ratified by the NASEMSO Board of Directors in June 2018 and is provided here.

Version 3 Conference Calls
The NEMSIS TAC conducts Version 3 Implementation Conference Calls to assist Software Developer’s implementation of the NEMSIS Version standard. The calls are scheduled on 2nd and 4th Wednesday of every month from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm Eastern Time (9:00 am – 10:30 am Mountain Time).
